Tara, Sven, Liam and Belgis
When I was about 6 months, my brother, my parents and I visited the island that saw the first steps of my mother, Pulo Rao. We took a Katinting, small noisy local boat and off we went around the island. We saw beautiful places and papa loved one of them very much!
It is a bay, small enough to feel cosy but big enough to be sheltered from possible high waves. Its shape is almost a perfect half circle surrounded by mountains and covered by thick forest. The beach is beautifully clean, no rubbish and the sand are like how the place is locally called: Pasir Hitam (black sand).
I forgot to tell you, in the forest there is a little creek! We shower there while curious crayfish look at us.
We live in Switzerland and when we are at Pasir Hitam it’s another world. With my brother we enjoy playing at the beach, swimming in the ocean and eating fruits from the forest. Papa and mama love diving and I think they love as well just to be there, to immerse themselves in the nature.
